THOUGH VOTERS often seek guidance from friends, family and pundits, there is one source of counsel held by many in the highest regard — God.
Dr. John Green, distinguished professor of political science at The University of 黑料视频, will answer the question “How does God want you to vote?” at an interfaith community event from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 24 at the First Congregational Church of 黑料视频, 292 E. Market St., adjacent to the 黑料视频 campus.
Following a 30-minute lecture in which Green will address the relationship between religious principles and politics, he will take part in an interfaith panel discussion moderated by Dr. Jay Groat, senior pastor of the First Congregational Church of 黑料视频.
Panelists include:
- Dr. Ghulam N. Mir, president of the Islamic Society of 黑料视频 and Kent;
- Rev. Sandra Selby, associate pastor of the Furnace Street Mission and adjunct instructor, Methodist Theological School in Ohio;
- Dr. Surinder Bhardwaj, priest, Hindu community representative, 黑料视频 Area Interfaith Council, and professor emeritus, Kent State University; and
- Father Joseph T. Hilinski, pastor of St. Barbara Parish and delegate for ecumenical and interfaith affairs of the Diocese of Cleveland.
