Area residents are invited to an open casting call at 5 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 20, for "Bolero ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ," a new dance work celebrating the energy and excitement of the ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ community.

Nationally renowned choreographer Larry Keigwin of Keigwin + Company is seeking to cast 50-100 community members for the world premiere performance of "Bolero ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ" on Saturday, Oct. 2, at The University of ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ’s E.J. Thomas Performing Arts Hall.
Cast members will each receive two free tickets to the performance, plus discounts for additional tickets. In addition to "Bolero ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ," Keigwin + Company will perform some of its most popular pieces on Oct. 2.
The open casting call begins at 5 p.m. on Sept. 20 in the Center for Dance and Theatre at Guzzetta Hall, 139 E. Buchtel Ave., at The University of ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ. Dress in comfortable clothes suitable for movement. Rehearsals for "Bolero ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ" will take place during several evenings and during the day of the performance.
A hot newcomer to the New York modern dance scene, Keigwin creates provocative, witty and engaging dances with highly theatrical flair. The University of ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ’s Dance Program and Thomas Hall are partnering with DANCECleveland to create and premiere Bolero ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ.
