The University of 黑料视频 will host its sixth annual Black Male Summit April 12-13 at the Student Union to celebrate and encourage the success of Black male students.
With expected attendance of more than 600 individuals from all walks of life (the event is not only for black male students), the summit will identify challenges and provide solutions to promote success academically and in the community.
The two-day event — free to 黑料视频 students, faculty and staff — is open to the public for $50.
Nationally recognized keynote presenters include:
- Roderick Gillum, chairman of the W.K. Kellogg Foundation;
- Dr. Steve Perry, author, television host and prep school principal;
- Brian Heat, director of the Diverse Male Student Academy; and
- Dr. Joseph White, psychology professor at the University of California Irvine.

In addition, education leaders, experts and students will lead workshops and address topics such as
- “Science is Not a Color: STEM May Be for You,”
- “Coaching Black Males into Academic Champions,”
- “Let me Introduce Myself: How Clothing Becomes Your Hello,” and
- “Can Black Women Raise Black Boys to be Strong Black Men?”
Other topics include networking, race relations, self-esteem, healthy relationships and strategies for personal and professional growth. .

Last year’s summit drew registrants from across the country, including highly-acclaimed experts from higher education institutions, public school systems, private foundations, religious organizations, and the business community.
